Experience the wonders of Vietnam

Vietnam has become increasingly popular as a holiday destination but to really experience everything this country has to offer, you should consider a bespoke tour. In fact, as I write this article, a couple of our clients have just landed in Hanoi! They are about to embark upon an amazing private tour that we designed just for them.
Here are just a few of the highlights:

Hanoi

Hanoi Vietnam’s historic capital is a fusion of French colonial architecture, great cuisine, colourful markets and a labyrinth of old-world streets. A city of lakes and distinct districts, you can admire the faded glory of the architecture and wide boulevards of the French Quarter, or delve into the cafes, markets, trinket shops and art galleries of the narrow Old Quarter lanes. Experience a street food tour and try your hand at cooking a traditional dish.

Halong Bay

Halong Bay lives up to its reputation as one of the world’s most beautiful locations. Steeped in legend, the islets and limestone formations found in these tranquil waters are staggeringly beautiful. Halong translates as ‘where the dragon descends into the sea’ and locals will gladly share a tale of how the bay was formed. We recommend a day trip cruise or overnight excursion through this wonderful scenery.

Hue

Hue gained prominence in 1802 when Emperor Gia Long founded the Nguyen Dynasty. In an effort to unite both Northern and Southern Vietnam, Hue was selected as the dynasty’s seat, and the impressive Citadel was built. During the American-Vietnamese War the Citadel suffered substantial damage, and work is still ongoing to restore it to its former glory. The city is also famed its royal cuisine and signatory local dishes; a fantastic complement to its tombs, mausoleums and fascinating history.

Hoi An

Hoi An was once one of Asia’s greatest trading ports, attracting merchants from across the continent and beyond; drawing influence that is reflected in the architecture and character of the town. The beautiful old town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999. The combination of a traditional old town, brimming with restaurants and riverside cafes, just a short drive from the excellent Cua Dai beach and beautiful countryside makes Hoi An a wonderful place to relax on your journey and a highlight of any visit to Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh

Ho Chi Minh City is renowned for its energy, noise and bustle. It lives up to its billing as the powerhouse of the Vietnamese economy, but the modern development is complemented by the architectural heritage of the colonial era, making it an elegant and appealing destination.
