As we approach the PM’s announcement from the Global Travel Taskforce on Monday 12th April, many of us are understandably keen to know where and when we will be able to go on holiday this year. Today, the Transport Secretary confirmed that we will get a Traffic Lights list of destinations soon after that announcement.

In the meantime, international destinations are opening up to UK tourists almost daily as our impressive vaccine roll-out continues apace. However, the recommendations of the Taskforce Traffic Lights system will limit the ‘allowable’ destinations and include specific protocols, such as testing that we will need to accept if we want to go on holiday this year.

Travelling abroad will be more complicated than we have been used to, but this shouldn’t put us off enjoying that well earned holiday that most of us crave.
