Following the lifting of Covid travel restrictions on the 14th March 2022, I wrote a blog urging everyone to get their 2023 holiday booked as soon as possible as there were bound to be several months of chaos at some airports and cancellations of airline flights, as the travel industry tried to spring into life following the announcement.
I am glad to say that many of my clients took heed and did just that. However, a recent spate of summer holiday enquires has made me aware that there are still many people who have waited to book their summer 2023 holiday, either because they have been put of by some of the travel disruption or in the hope of getting a last-minute deal.
Unfortunately, last-minute deals this year are quite few and far between, the main issue being limited availability of accommodation. I am spending quite a lot of time trying to help my clients to source the perfect rooms for them, especially difficult for those looking for family rooms. I have also noticed that villas are very popular this year which could be a hangover from the pandemic period, but be warned, the best ones are being snapped up fast.
It’s clear to us all that the cost of flights is considerably higher this year as airlines try to make up for losses from the Covid years, and the increased costs of fuel, so you may need some help to find the best prices available.
We all know that looking for your dream holiday can take up some considerable time and effort. The current factors mentioned here make this even more true.
